London, UK, September 13, 2016 – Marco Pierre White Restaurants has launched its first tablet digital wine menu in its flagship Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill in Birmingham. Popular for its fine dining and view, the restaurant has an already outstanding reputation and have now taken their first step in reshaping their guest’s dining experience with iRiS Software Systems.

The new wine and drinks application is displayed on a tablet and is powered by iRiS Software Systems, a market leader in the Food & Beverage space. The F&B Tablet revolutionises the restaurant dining experience with the ability to be more than just a digital menu.

The application replaces the paper wine menus and allows diners to view the wine list visually, enjoying stunning imagery and enticing descriptions of the wines and the regions where the grapes are grown. Combined with a host of unique features and ‘menu modifiers’, these features make the app remarkably convenient and truly engaging. The application allows swift and simple filtering of the wines including but not limited to filtering by colour, size, grape, region as well as providing detailed food and wine pairing.

“We see this as a new way to engage with our guests, by empowering them whilst taking waiter and guest interaction to a new level. Allowing guests to use features such as building a shortlist of their favourite wines, means we can have an informed chat about their selections and ensure they enjoy the perfect wine. iRiS has been the perfect partner, working closely with us and our wine supplier and they are proven in the hospitality space” said Shezan Aslam, Director of Black and White Hospitality Management.

The restaurant is taking full advantage of offering wines under the section called Chairman’s Selection, enabling them to promote their favourite wines. This leads to increased sales of those wines and ultimately increased revenue.

The application can be updated in an instant, ensuring that nothing is showing when unavailable, and works offline too.

“We are delighted that MPW Restaurants have selected iRiS Software Systems to partner with and to be working with such an esteemed group. Digital technology is here to stay and becoming expected, and this allows the group to embrace it while retaining the human touch. We look forward to developing the relationship” commented Darren Panto, Business Development Director.
